Passionately creating luxurious films and imagery.

My name is Flore Vallery-Radot, but most people call me Flo.

I am a Paris born French photographer and filmmaker and have worked a large part of my life as a textile journalist and writer.

Since finding my passion in photography and filmmaking, I have taken several intense online and brick and mortar courses, attended workshops with photographers and filmmakers I truly admire, and am now finishing my Master of Arts Screen in Documentary at the Australian Film Radio and Television School, with my first documentary soon be launched.

The art within both my films and my photography is to capture the slowness, the intricacy, the dedication and devotion my clients feel within their work. Since early childhood I’ve been drawn to hands, dirty hands, hard working hands, agile hands, they captivate me! I love how these ‘tools’ of ours can gather, grow, bake, sculpt… years of practice have shaped the skills which bring these objects to life but also millenia of human knowledge.

I'm drawn to the movement of these hands and feel compelled to tell their enchanting stories through film. My dream is to bring people with me on this captivating journey, to peek over the shoulder of an organic farmer caressing frilly beans or a potter at her wheel.

My passion lies in seeing the sensual aspect of any human activity. I love to seize mundane everyday moments I find beautiful, as well as the complex gestures of craftsmanship acquired during many years.

So, now you know a little about me, the face behind the camera, what is your passion I wonder, what is your craft?

If you would indulge me with a conversation, I would love to hear your story and together, weave its tale in an evocative and cinematic way to help you share your passion and gift with the world.
